Background

The Erasmus+ project provides SligoCFE with an opportunity to continue to expand its horizons in a European context, improving work practices, VET provision and the colleges’ public profile. As a service provider, SligoCFE recognises that it caters to a wide audience of cultural, social and economically diverse sectors. By participating in Erasmus +, SligoCFE hopes to share best practice with its partner organisations through dialogue and cultural exchange thus improving understanding of practices, policies and systems in course delivery across countries. SligoCFE hopes to build international capacity for future learners at the college by widening the range of courses in which learners can avail of mobility. By working closely with our partner we hope to adapt to the changing working environment by providing more attractive programmes for learners in line with their needs and expectations. Furthermore, we wish to improve the recognition and validation of competences gained during work experience abroad. This in turn will lead to a more dynamic, committed and professional environment within the organisation.
