With the project Stronger Together, the goal is to get acquainted with Mládež ulice (English translation: Youth of the street) and their work, they work so-called streetwork that we need to improve on and at the same time that our two departments will get to know each other better. The young people who even need us most do not reach us, which means that we need to reach out to them, and then streetwork is a good way that is widely used in Europe but has not been used to any knowledge in Iceland. When Félak's clients reach the age of 16, they reach the upper secondary school age, we often lose the connection with them so that we try as we can to introduce them to the Youth House. We need and are to "build a bridge" between these two units. Mladez ulice in Slovakia is working hard on the street, which is why we want to visit them. They are experts in making a lot of small, their premises are very small, so almost all of their activities take place outdoors. We are in good cooperation with e.g. compulsory schools and can share our experiences on how to engage in increased collaboration with schools and other institutions in their area. The aim is to get acquainted with the activities of the association, mainly streetwork and their work with marginal groups, among others. drug addicts and homeless people. We will look at different community centers / NGOs and discuss ongoing co-operation with, for example, human exchange in mind, but for young people from Iceland visiting Bratislava would, in our opinion, be very instructive.
