Objectives

“Digital Media Tools For Successful Dissemination” is aiming at to be the essential ring in the chain of NGO and society relations in social media. It is designed in the manner of activities to eliminate the flaws in project dissemination by suggesting innovative ways of managing social media platform. The need to organize a project about this topic is motivated by the fact that there are different gaps in methods of exchanging information that obstruct non-governmental organizations from disseminating their projects in a proper way, in other words, from getting more engagement. As time passes, social media becomes the ultimate tool for communication to target audience which gives exact and measurable results in shorten period of time with less expenditures. In parallel, most NGOs lack flexibility in communications with the audience and their disseminative actions seem obsolete while concentrating only on their projects and spending less resources on building a network which provides person to person communication. Meanwhile social media has grown like a giant of information exchange and besides transforming into ultimate opportunity for project dissemination, it also became very complex and somewhat difficult to manage. One of the major problems is timing - Social Media feeds with simultaneous information to give the maximum effect. Most NGOs update their channels once in a week. Besides this, Social Media upgrades and updates its tools frequently and missing these steps can cause gaps in understanding new methods of information sharing. Second major problem occurs when the case goes to marketing and ad-creating, whereas the solution for it can be not only good planning of the project but its dissemination as well. This is exactly what creates the gaps in constant communication between the organizations and the civil society which eventually works dramatically for any NGOs’ reputation in social media. Lack of aimed and well-targeted activities for effective solutions leads those organizations to another obstacle – problem of reaching the beneficiaries. This is how most NGOs involuntarily create enclosed circles/groups of information which prevents effective dissemination. We strongly agree that dissemination of results is a crucial area of the Erasmus+ project lifecycle. However, as reality and our researches show, dissemination of projects is not as successful as the projects themselves are. That’s why “Digital Media Tools For Successful Dissemination ” includes all the necessary activities which will help participants to be more creative and use the opportunities of social media at any stage of project development. “Digital Media Tools For Successful Dissemination” sees dissemination as an inevitably accompanying action of the project which gives much bigger result in the end. Simply, by creating a data/content each day and spreading it to the audience raises much awareness rather than doing everything after the project is done. The second option is what most NGOs normally do and exactly this type of actions creates huge informational gaps between their projects. They simply have nothing to say to the audience. Overall objectives of the project are the following: ● To empower NGOs to use the knowledge for better project dissemination ● To develop the skill of Social Media management ● To give the opportunity to become an opinion leader in NGO team and to teach others ● To expand the network of NGOs contributing to Social Media management while disseminating their projects ● To explore the innovative ways of content-making for social networks ● To get familiar with useful and flexible tools for ad creating ● To develop media communication skills among youth workers and NGO workers ● To raise awareness about civil journalism ● To get closer to the meaning of corporate social responsibility ● To explore the best ways of project dissemination ● To find out more about project management in Social Media ● To promote non-formal learning and present it as a tool for participation and development ● To receive the best practices from the experts during study visits ● To promote inter-cultural exchange, tolerance and solidarity in general.
