The youth exchange "Gender equality in movement" will involve 40 young people from 5 different countries in a process of intercultural understanding of the problems of gender discrimination and renewal of sensitivity to the gender equality of young Europeans. The project will provide participants new practical skills and tools to improve the vision of respect for gender diversity and new strategies for a enhanced awareness. The objectives of the project are the following: - Raise the awareness among young European citizens of the importance of gender equality, providing them tools and knowledge on how to act on a daily basis; - increase awareness of the importance of informal and non-formal education, which will be implemented through innovative video/photos laboratories and artistic representations such as flash mobs; - to help the participants to understand fundamental of their ideas within a debate and to encourage the intercultural exchange of innovative proposals; - facilitate the process of awareness on the part of young people of their importance in the renewal of a open mentality of respect for gender diversity and the possibility of expressing their opinion, making their voices heard and revitalizing their community, acting in primis on the locality of Cefalù.
