Objectives

The cultural exchange "Take P.Art! #Back2thefuture" was designed as an evolution of the similar initiative held in Rofrano (SA), between 22 April and 1 May 2017, organized by the Cilento Youth Union Association. It thus aimed to represent a further outcome of the participatory planning process triggered in the first edition, a forge of multiple educational interventions, to integrate a real strategy calibrated on disadvantaged young people from rural areas: among others we mention the TC "Everybody in the place", created in another emblematic internal area of Cilento, in the spring of 2018, and which adopted the topic of Public Art as a defining factor for specific inclusion methodologies. The exchange was re-proposed in Rofrano, an internal area of Cilento, included in the National Park of the same name, UNESCO heritage, land of the Mediterranean Diet, an overall underutilized environmental and human scenario and weak from an economic-social point of view. Due to the multiple and varied experiences of youth mobility carried out, it is an open community and prepared to welcome artistic expression as a catalyst for social animation, cultural growth and relationships with others. The re-edition of the “Take P.Art!” format intended to reinvigorate and materialize the typical vision of CYU, aimed at pursuing the progress of the communities of internal European areas, preserving the social and human capital from the threat of dispersion and depopulation; finally, providing young people with effective tools and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The aim of helping to transform a land of emigration into a land of integration has been relaunched, starting from a typical context such as Rofrano. In this sense, the aim was to leverage the involvement of young people living in geographically disadvantaged areas, adopting, in continuity with the methodological progress achieved during "Everybody in the Place", artistic expression as a medium of values, a representative language of ideas and factor of education and civic growth. The strategic objective was once again proposed to increase the quality of life of young people in inland areas and to counter the phenomenon of marginalization and depopulation of inland rural areas, through integration based on respect for human rights and civic duties fundamental. In this sense, Public Art, as a shared and original language of beauty, has been declined as an educational lever suitable for stimulating awareness, creativity, sense of identity, spirit of collaboration. The typical environment of Rofrano has once again been experienced as a theater of creation, capable of experimenting with collaborative processes and practices that aim to leave traces of beauty, putting the community at the center and enveloping it in a breath of future. The mission was outlined according to the following relevant objectives: • confirm and apply an organized and collaborative dynamic of revaluation and care of public places in internal areas, through Public Art; • increase the active participation of young people from rural areas, providing them with an alternative learning opportunity; • increase the quality of interaction between young people and the human and social environment of reference, promoting the development of ideas and actions to be implemented even at the end of the project, through the use of digital and IT tools (in particular blogging and social web); • raise awareness of the importance of European Citizenship among young people from EU members; • prevent, with respect to participants of different cultures, forms of social exclusion based on racial, xenophobic, religious or in any case attributable to discrimination, implementing specific educational and socialization activities; • promote integration through public art; • affirm and implement the shared commitment to growth that is as inclusive as possible; • include young people with fewer opportunities, involving them in the project activities that most offer them the possibility of being enthusiastic and actively engaged; • involve local young people in international activities, promoting socialization and friendly relations with young foreign participants, offering them opportunities for learning mobility, stimulating them to participate in similar projects, as well as to develop the latter; • facilitate young people's access to the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme, as well as other possibilities for personal growth contemplated by the various European programs in the fields of active participation, mobility and lifelong learning; • organization of a local event functional to disseminate the project activities and stimulate reflection and critical sense on the topics.
