With volunteering, individuals get incredible experience, learn about different know how and new skills. Anyway, in many cases, skills, gained through volunteering events and activities, not always decently accredited and recognised. Development of skills through volunteering can be utilised for improvement the employment rate of individuals or for personnel development, but this opportunity is scarcely used. Events and activities of non-governmental organisations usually stay on the engagement of volunteers and youngsters who wish to invest their time, passion and initiative. When it is well managed, volunteering is a success for all involved stakeholders, including: - volunteers gain soft and hard skills raising self-confidence and qualification for the labour market; - non-governmental organisations gain support and extra achievements, which wouldn't be possible to get without the volunteers' loyalty; - as well as local community benefits in many different ways related to the particular activities implemented by the volunteer. Non-governmental organisations from EU participating in this project created a partnership to find a solution on how to make voluntary work more effective on national and European level. Even if volunteers are successfully involved in civil society initiatives, or even their leading force and main implementer, very often these positive examples don't reach a wider audience since visibility measures for promotion this stories of success are not in place or only of limited reach. The overall aim of this partnership is to highlight the value of volunteering as a successful pathway for skills development and into employment. It should be stated, that there undergoing a political transformation process in our societies directed to development to more democratic communities based on social responsibility and active citizenship and there is a need of positive examples of active participation and committed individuals. One more voluntary work aspect in EU is the low participants of youngsters with disadvantages or from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Unfortunately, in many cases, voluntary work is a thing which is done by individuals with higher education or from higher economic level. Volunteering can be a "ticket" for future employment and gaining experience in a specific field of this work. What is very important, volunteering in organisations foster promotion of diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, values of independence, tolerance and respect for human rights addressing socially excluded young people. By implementing this TC we address the actual needs and highlight EU values, priorities of Erasmus+ programme and providing youth workers and volunteers of partner organisations with the skills and methods for their professional development, including digital work with young people, which are necessary to transfer the common core values of society to hard-to-reach groups of young people and also to prevent radicalization among young people. Therefore, the objectives of "The soul of YOUth work" are to: - Conceptualise with the project partners their approaches to volunteering in their work context; - Foster individual and organisational competences in planning, implementing, mentoring and evaluating local and international volunteering projects; - Develop organisational solution for inclusion of young people in volunteering projects; - Develop organisational schedule and strategy for the most indispensable moves in volunteering projects. The training course "The soul of YOUth work" is connected with Erasmus+ Programme priorities by aiming at volunteering projects' improvement to magnify capacity of youth-based non-governmental organisations and interested parties implementing social-based activities and educational programs with the volunteers' involvement. As a result of the enhanced abilities in realising volunteering projects, active citizenship and youth participation are expected to increase on local level promoting volunteering and social responsibility among youngster and increasing the recognition of social and local and international activism for community development in urban and rural space. Consequently, "The soul of YOUth work" directly addresses the following priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme in the youth sector: - Development of competences of youth workers; - Stimulation of quality improvements in youth work; - Supplementing the international aspects of youth activities.
