Objectives

The main reason why we applied to this project is the recent revelation that every member of the participating organizations has been a witness or a victim of bullying. This shocking discovery inspired us to act because we believe in a change towards positive, and we are aware of the impact that we can create. We each have within ourselves the ability to shape our own lives. That much we understand. But, more important, each of us has an equal ability to shape the lives of others. By implementing this project, we wanted to teach youngsters understanding, compassion, and kindness towards their peers and to present the severe impact of bullying on mental health. The main objectives of the project at the time we applied were as follow: - To educate young people about the types of bullying (Physical bullying, Verbal bullying, Social bullying, Cyberbullying); - To make youngsters aware of the long-lasting impact that buying carries (as mentioned above); - To encourage youngsters to make a difference and join the fight against bullying; - Educating participants on the various social and ethnic groups in our society; - To educate youngsters on the benefits of non-formal learning and its methods; - Through active participation, provide a guide, that will be distributed in schools in all the partner countries; - Encouraging intercultural dialogue and active citizenship through group activities; - Through active participation in the project, inspire young people to be enterprising, creative and aware; - Let young people organize group work, take risks and responsibilities among themselves; - Exchange of ideas on cooperation between non-governmental organizations at the international level; - Raise young people's awareness of the impact of human actions in society; - As a result of the Youth Exchange, create an easy to follow guide on preventing bullying, that can bring an impact in long-term; - To encourage young people in taking the initiative and being active in their societies; - To promote social inclusion and acceptance among youngsters; - To bring a positive and long-lasting impact in our society by teaching empathy and understanding.
