Right now the North & Baltic Seas are regarded to be an industrialised zone, in addition both are coping with an large amount of plastic from elsewhere in their seas, that affect both the liability and the enjoyment of nature of animals and EU citizens. Research shows that an increasing awareness on this issues can lead towards small, but tangible actions, on the issues that affect us all. Our project place extreme emphasis on young people with an NEETS background - a disadvantaged one- as they are insufficiently represented though have extreme potential. As such, This YUP project offers a holistic approach and offers soft & intercultural skills that nowadays labor market and our common nature needs, such as intercultural understanding, taking more initiative, learning to learn, communication skills, enhancing democratic solidarity as well methodologies who are having an -lasting- impact on not only our participants, but also on the communities where they are living. Our main activity in September- Oktober 2019 will be a Youth Exchange (and APV to prepare): Our main objective is too equip the neet youth, while boosting their self-confidence and understanding the need of the environment as a global good. We do this by specifically designed non-formal means such as cultural, presentation, social representation in craft, art, sports and dance, and making events. A planning visit will prepare for this exchange, as well will strengthen that their work will affect local communities by activities executed by the young people. In addition, We will do some local projects: Our projects involve local youth and local stakeholders in order to make a series of activities possible who stimulate further awareness, but also capacity creation. Followed by an event that we will organise for policy makers to make them aware of the issues once again. To Summarise: Our project, a Youth Exchange and a related local project, is for the greater good and stimulate long term thinking. We actively strive for further awareness on youth work, enhancing international corporation among civil society organisations in Europe and tackle the issues of environmental pollution. We provide a crucial contribution in formulating opinions, cultural exchanges and collaborating and potentially decrease local communities amount of waste, that is an enormous win-win for youth organisations and youth themselves in Europe.
