This training course (TC) is for youth workers and organizations working with youth with fewer opportunities, who wants to include all their youth in a volunteering experience. In this TC they will learn how to plan, organize and execute a guided short term group volunteering under European Solidarity Corps. Proper support by youth workers is essential to provide these youth the best way to help, learn and develop. The objectives are therefore as follows, the participant learns: (1) To increase youth workers competences for an optimal facilitation of the learning process of the youth with fewer opportunities in short term group volunteering: (a) Promotion, recruitment and selection of young participants; (b) Preparation of the young participants, such as motivation and expectations, setting learning goals, cross-cultural communication and team building; (c) Monitoring and supporting the individual and group learning process during the volunteering project; (d) Reflecting and evaluating the learning process after the volunteering experience, as well as connecting it to future goals. (2) To learn about disseminating the results of volunteering projects. (3) To introduce European Solidarity Corps as concrete short-term group volunteering opportunity for youth with fewer opportunities.
