Objectives

We wanted to implement a project that would give young people the opportunity to learn more about the cultural heritage of our continent and to feel understood. We wanted the youth to feel unity in diversity. Over the centuries, many different cultures have lived side by side in Europe, and they have drawn the best from each other, and we should not forget this. However, Europe has had its ups and downs. History is littered with examples of intolerance, or even intercultural aggression, which gave rise to the outbreak of World Wars I and II. We have learned from history, and we want to direct our actions in such a way as to spread among young people attitudes of tolerance and openness to other cultures. To achieve this, we have chosen three cultural aspects that we want to explore in order to get to know each other better: dance, music, theatre. We believe that young people, who are the future of Europe, should be educated in the spirit of tolerance and intercultural integration so that we can live better in the future. We want to build in young people a sense of belonging to the cultural heritage of Europe so that they feel more European. Thanks to our joint project, young people were able to exchange their experiences, break cultural barriers, learn more about the traditions of the partner countries and make friends for life. The main objective of the project: - Establishing intercultural dialogue through the use of music, theatre, and dance Objectives that serve the main goal: - Breaking down cultural barriers - Gaining knowledge about the theatre history of the partner countries - Gaining knowledge about national dances of the partner countries - Learning national songs of partner countries - Develop the ability to communicate effectively in different intercultural contexts - Increasing young people's reflection on the culture of the participating countries and strengthening their sense of European cultural identity - Motivating participants to actively participate in cultural life - Promoting attitudes of openness and tolerance towards other cultures Thanks to our project, young people could get to know better the culture of the partner countries and find out what values each of them brings. We promoted among young people attitudes of tolerance and openness, which they themselves will promote among their friends. There were 5 participants in each team, including 2 participants with fewer opportunities plus one leader.
