Objectives

We note that movements and populist organizations all over Europe are gaining strength and in many countries their voice is increasingly heard. The situation regarding populism and radicalization of young people is very similar in the countries taking part in this project, although it concerns slightly different social phenomena. During previous interviews with leaders and people working with youth from partner organizations, we came to the conclusion that we lack sufficient knowledge and competence in this area to be able to support and inspire young people in the field of handling populist content, hate, hate speech, etc. The main objective of the training is to equip people working with young people with tools and skills to support their work with young people in recognizing and reading populist content and counteracting hate speech. Specific objectives: -oppose hate speech, hate and false information, -learning new methods of support for young people in the field of opposing manifestations of populism, hate speech and hate, -dealing with the causes of populism, -getting to know the ways of "sifting" fake news from facts -learning about the ways of movements and populist organizations -making participants aware of the threats of hate speech and hate speech on the internet -systematizing knowledge about movements and populist organizations in Europe -enabling a person working with youth to obtain information on the working conditions with young people in partner countries, -exchange of good practices in the field of youth involvement in the European Solidarity Corps.
