The project constitutes a stage in MODE Foundation’s development strategy. It serves to provide our staff with a set of complementary competences that will allow us to implement quality projects in the area of youth work. Based on the situational analysis for our region and our own experiences, responding to the policy direction of local authorities, we have decided to strengthen the competences of our team so that we are able to design. plan, implement and evaluate non-formal and informal education initiatives for young people. We are driven by the awareness that the society increasingly needs to be educated and prepared for the challenges of interculturality. Democratic values and civic attitudes also require strengthening. Upon examining our current situation, we have come to the conclusion that the team includes six people whose professional profiles match roles that need to be covered if we are to effectively pursue our goals. These individuals wish to broaden their knowledge or gain a new perspective for how to employ their competences when working with the youth. This is why we reached out to several organisation across Europe and, upon consulting our needs with them, we have decided to apply for a job shadowing project. It will enable participants to broaden their competences, as well as observe various ways to utilise certain knowledge and skills they already possess.
