The Changemaker Course was created on the basis of interviews with over 300 changemakers - social leaders and activists - from 33 countries. Analyzing the structured interviews conducted with them, we have identified a pattern in the answers concern skills useful in changing the world for the better, emerging challenges and difficulties, and needs; That was the starting point to design the Changemaker Course. So far, we have conducted 13 Changemaker Courses in 6 European countries. As part of this project we want to conduct the first international Course, in which people from different European countries will take part at the same time. Project goals: - Development of social skills which were acknowledged as fundamental in changing the world for the better: communication, empathy, work in group, leadership, mindfulness, listening, vision-making, understanding the process of change, inclusiveness - Dissemination of tools for effective planning of projects and social businesses responding to the real needs of a given community. - Planning of specific social projects that can be carried out a few weeks after the end of the training. - Providing materials - descriptions of exercises and scenarios - enabling people working with youth to empower their target group with the idea of having a positive impact and with social activities. - Motivating to action, showing through examples of real changemakers from around the world that change is possible. - Networking of people changing the world for the better, implementing social projects or running social businesses. - Dissemination of the idea of changemaking, establishing a stronger relationship with partner organizations, planning the next local and international activities, including the next Changemakers Courses.
