Nature Around Youth made it possible for KobieTY to connect the work we do in urbanised areas to more remote areas such as the villages surrounding Łódź and villages like Zakrzewo. The project supported the professional development of those who work with youth, with a view to improving the quality of their collaboration as well as facilitation skills as non-formal educators and their well-being. We provided several youth organisations and participants with opportunities for cooperation and peer support, achieving quality improvements in the youth work done by these organisations. The youth workers involved felt empowered and strengthened their motivation to take further actions to build up supportive, green partnerships. Nature Around Youth allowed us to collect common knowledge, skills and experiences and transfer expertise related to creating green meeting and learning spaces such as a food forest, its design and management. The time we took to implement Nature Around Youth’s activities strengthened our connection to nature and to each other, building a stronger team of nature educators.
