Objectives

This project builds on one of Europe's main goals, the promotion of a strategy for inclusion and empowerment for marginalized young people, including young migrants or minorities. Bearing in mind the present situation of the organizations involved, which in their daily work are faced with the need to consolidate strategies for the inclusion and training of young migrants and other large minority groups. We mind the exponential increase of radicalisms amongst them, including groups of young people with whom we work. We need a project focused on the creation of bridges of intercultural dialogue, interaction and social involvement among these phalanxes of young people to become a priority, based on the test of new methodologies of non-formal education capable of facilitating and consolidating this type of work by the Youth Technicians. This is how we formulated Origins' central priority, a return to the origins of a democratic Europe, the promotion of diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, the common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights involving young youth workers through the testing of new pedagogical responses to non-formal education, the creation of new support networks and the articulation of quality social responses among the various partners involved. At the level of the Youth Technicians this project interprets their role as educators of the future and, now more than ever, we need to focus not only on a local perspective but on objectives that integrate the perspective of the whole, namely the common European area . A broader responsibility, a citizenship not only national and European, but global, is not yet consolidated in our basic education. In a world where mass migratory movements, economic and trade systems are as expansive as the planet itself, it is not enough to be responsible only for our "corner." Origins intends to develop, test and affirm a new non-formal method of Education for Global Citizenship (EGC) based on the principle of youthful protagonism and the Method of Animation that responds to the objectives we have pointed out. This model of inclusion centered on the method of Animation focuses on being transformative, involving young people in the construction of basic knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for the promotion of respect for human rights, social justice, peace, diversity, gender equality and environmental sustainability. One of the main objectives is to enable individuals to reflect critically on the legacies and processes of their cultures, to imagine different future solutions and to take responsibility for their decisions and actions. EGC provides young people with skills and opportunities to claim their rights and to assume responsibilities as responsible and participatory citizens in current and future society. Thus, lifelong learning is important beginning in childhood and continuing through adulthood through formal, non-formal and informal approaches to education, is essential to the success of the ECG.
