This project arose from the fact that the CCA (youth organization, which works for and with youth), considers fundamental to foster multicultural experiences in young people with cultural, environmental, social, and citizenship concerns. Because this association works with cinematographic production and its headquarters is located in a region where environmental care urges to preserve the ecosystem of Ria de Aveiro and Baixo Vouga Lagunar, the main pillars of this project were Cinema and Cultural Heritage linked to nature and maritime labor practices. Thus, some of the objectives were: - To use cinema as a way of communication, to recover through the testimonies the inheritance of the work in the salt pans of Aveiro; - Film productions that recover this memory with the goal of proposing that they could be exhibited by the Troncalhada Ecomuseum among other places; - Tell the history of the work and experience of the several hundred saltern workers who took care of the salt pans of the region. João Banca is one of the few who still remains faithful to art and, at the moment, does that with double responsibility. This salt worker is responsible for maintaining salt production in the Aveiro ecomuseum, so that visitors can follow all the steps of the ancestral activity; - The promotion of a greater knowledge about the Aveiro Salines and the need for its protection, as well as to preserve the inheritance that these gave to Portugal; - Preserve the traditional method of salt production and make sea salt known; - The promotion of healthy lifestyles through outdoor sports activities are always part of the CCA projects; - Increasing young people's awareness of other European realities and what can be done to improve the quality of life not only of the various societies where the human being is included but also of the natural habitats of all living beings; - increasing knowledge of European citizenship through multicultural experiences; - It is also intended that young people can improve their technical skills and have new looks and points of view when faced with realities other than their own; - Allow the integration of young people with fewer opportunities; - To enable young people to acquire tools for their integration into labor markets, in society, among others, in particular through the European competency validation certificate.
