Objectives

The project idea began when part of the project team met in a seminar on active involvement. During the activities we participated in, we also discussed the vulnerable groups of young people excluded from society: minorities, people with physical problems, orphans, homeless people and so on. We have noticed that it is a common problem in our countries, but at the same time there are few programs that address it. Our NGOs can provide skills training that will further improve employment opportunities: resume writing, workplace communication, time management, job search and online identity creation. Even teaching them arts or sports can have a big impact. Social activities can increase their relationships, reduce isolation, increase their confidence and show how to live an individual life and take responsibility for each other's decisions. After a study in our organizations we found that there are misconceptions and a low level of training that led to a low level of inclusion of disadvantaged people in our activities. The main causes of this problem were: - Youth workers have problems communicating with disadvantaged young people - Youth workers do not have enough information about disadvantaged groups and do not have the courage / motivation to approach them - Youth workers do not know the right methods that would allow them to include more people in their activities and that could promote inclusion in the community. All the objectives of the project established in the candidacy were fulfilled as follows: 1. During the 9 months of the project, the 28 young people developed their knowledge about inclusion, stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination, better understood the problems faced by disadvantaged people and are ready to implement activities that could help young people to feel more included. 2. During the 9 months of the project, the 28 young people learned how to use non-formal education as a tool to include disadvantaged young people and as a way to improve their communication, being able to achieve a min. of 5 methods of non-formal education, to adapt them and to apply them in the local activities, at the end of the project. 3. By participating in the project activities, the 28 young people improved their attitude towards disadvantaged young people, starting from at least 2 local projects (in each partner country), which included over 20 young people with reduced opportunities. These objectives have been achieved through the following mobility activities: - What is inclusion? - Working visit from Constantin Brancoveanu High School - inclusion activities - meetings with local authorities from DGASPC and stakeholders from Horezu - Communication activities and non-formal education methods specific to inclusion - Debrifings and reflection groups During the DEOR Stage: - Workshops with young people with reduced opportunities in local communities - Focus groups with participating youth workers - meetings with young people with reduced opportunities through workshops dedicated to them - developing new work networks with other youth NGOs working with young people with reduced opportunities Our objectives have been aligned with the priorities of the national appeal, as follows: - promoting the inclusion of marginalized young people: we involved 28 youth workers for 8 days - supporting youth workers in developing and sharing non-formal education methods that could stop marginalization and exclusion: our activities have produced a valuable change in all the communities involved.
