Objectives

By implementing this project, together with partner organizations we have decided to support youth activities regarding youth involvement in activities constiientizare and understanding of other cultures and countries, aimed at developing a sense of citizenship and European identity, which to develop mutual acceptance of culture and ethnicity so diverse and yet with so many common values. We started from the proposal of young people following some facts found in the sports activities in which the partner organizations were involved, nnamely the existence of attitudes of non-acceptance or the desire to impose some manifestations with religious connotations which even led to the disqualification of some of the athletes. The initiative of this project is that of young athletes and organizers of sports competitions in our organizations that have faced such attitudes in events and competitions. They want this project to be a starting point to create the framework through which these young people and athletes can become aware and understand that certain cultures and religions are not and should not be an obstacle but rather a reason for knowing and development. Interaction and interethnic dialogue, intercultural are essential values in implementation of the diversity, tolerant behavior and discriminatory for those 40 young people from four countries, they from different backgrounds, traditions and religions (Romania - the country mostly Orthodox Christian , Italy - predominantly Catholic country, Lithuania, one of the first countries of the Polish-Lithuanian kingdom, where in 1573 all denominations were declared equal, and Turkey - predominantly Muslim). Our project aligns overall objectives of Erasmus + on the renewed framework of European cooperation in the youth field and specific to youth mobility, the intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, especially by multiplying opportunities for learning mobility for young people. We have set as objectives of the project: - knowledge, awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries among the 40 young participants from Italy, Lithuania, Turkey and Romania, during the mobility exchange; - identifying the similarities and differences between the cultures and religions of the participants in the project through open dialogue sessions between the 40 participants (brainstorming); - promoting religious tolerance among young participants through intercultural activities. We support participants in their involvement as active, responsible citizens in society by promoting diversity, intercultural dialogue and inter-religious common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights stated objectives and closely related objectives of Erasmus + and this key action.
