In our society, statistics show that the youngsters (18-30 y.o.) face most difficulties to find a job. Their educational level is the main element that gives them an advantage. This context motivated us to develop this project which aims to prepare 26 youth workers in the field of vocational counselling to transmit this methods further to youngsters with lower possibilities from their communities. Our goal is to identify those abilities that every person has through vocational counselling, in order to reduce vulnerability of young people to find and keep their job. Through the process of vocational counseling are explored personal resources and aspirations and existing opportunities. Therefore, vocational counseling aims to use personal resources and aspirations in order to take advantage of the current existing opportunities in the social-economic environment Purpose of the project: To develop the capacity of 26 youth workers from 4 partner countries ( Italy, Greece, Slovakia and Romania) to implement vocational counseling for youngsters in the period 1st of August 2019 - 31st of January 2020 Goals: To develop competences for 26 youth workers from 4 partner countries in the field of vocational counselling from 1st of August 2019 - 31st of January 2020 To develop at least 10 vocational counselling tools, that will be used by 26 youth workers , in the period 1st of August 2019 - 31st of January 2020 To develop 4 vocational counseling for young people adapted to the needs of their communities (from each of the partners countries) in the period 1st of August 2019 - 31st of January 2020 26 youth workers from Italy, Slovakia, Greece and Romania will participate to ”New perspectives” project. All 3 partners associations implement programs for youngsters and have showed their interest to improve the abilities of their youth workers to develop vocational counseling programs. Among the activities that we will use in this project we included : identify competences – practical and theoretical aspects, identify their passions, how to do a SWOT analysis, design your perfect week in order to facilitate the process of establishing a professional goal, that will lead you to identify several possible careers that match the imagined scenario. We will work also on creating/improving their CVs, writing their motivational letter, using online resources. Developing relationships that matters is another topic on this training course, together with the elevator pitch- another well known tool used on the labor market to help future employees to promote themselves. Forum theatre in another method that we will introduce to the participants in order for them to be more aware that they can take decisions to improve their life. Another important session of this project is to establish what importance have money in their life. Every day will end with a reflection session to consolidate the experiences and to evaluate the learning process of each participant. This reflexion session will be implemented through the Council Way Method and based on which we will create a safe environment for every participant to express and share with the others the impact the activities had on them.
