Objectives

Through this project, we wanted our schoolleaders' to take the lead in transformative leadership and our development leaders to be prepared and to have knowledge about STEAM in order to tutorial teachers. And teachers to develop their methods so children's curiosity, questioning and scepticism skills, their analytical ability develop, as well as understanding the importance of different learning methods to build self-confidence in our children. These abilities and skills must be developed at an early age and continue throughout the children's development and lifelong learning. By gaining access to these abilities, the children develop their identity and their self-confidence and by deliberately engaging in literacy their language skills are developed, both in the mother tongue and in foreign languages. Which is a priority goal for the municipality's preschools. This goal is combined with internationalization and intercultural development as well as social skills and we therefore need to develop our didactic and pedagogical methods and increase awareness in these subjects when it comes to education in preschool. In order to be able to implement our development plan we need courageous leaders who have had experiences and discussion

Background

We have identified a need to develop methods and practical skills that relate to literacy linked to interdisciplinary methods in the form of what is called STEAM and which forms an educational framework for preschool teaching. This approach also includes the use of artistic and aesthetic means of expression and based on the writing in the curriculum for preschool, a way into the traditional sciences and which in turn aims to promote creativity. We also wanted to give our preschool leaders tools to develop their leadership skills.
