We wished to build good contacts and create long-lasting relations to organisations abroad who "have what we do not have", who could offer our staff and our students the kind and level of learning that we cannot provide at home in Hudiksvall, and at the same time increase the know-how in those participating in worklife-like conditions. We also wished to establish new contacts, partly to ensure they met our standards, partly to allow them the opportunity to get to know us and our background as their partner. One aim was also to enable staff updated knowledge to rub off on the teaching done at home and thereby prepare students for the type of learning they would experience on site abroad.
We applied for this project - Connect and Improve VET - to further develop our workplace-based training and education. We wished(and still wish) to exand the number of relevant partners and explore - together with these partners - the possiblilities to improve VET within the realm of our everyday contexts. Connect and Improve VET was to build on the magic that happens naturally when people meet on site - where we are and where they are. We were to tie relations closer to us supported by the long-term placements of ErasmusPRO students.
