Objectives

With this project we aim to follow up on our project in 2019. The continuation ensures that we can learn and improve both the concent of the projects, as well as inspire yet another 40 youngsters, to develop themselves and learn about each other, the world aorund them (taking care of the environment) and themselves. The aim is create ambassadors for the future; to get these youngsters inspired to continue with challeniging themselves to learn, inspire others to do the same! Not only on personal level in sence of leadership skills, teamwork, self preserverance. It is about learning to understand the world around them. Both in the sence of their fellow Europeans and our cultures as well as the importance (and joy) of reducing our footprint and taking care of the environment. During two weeks on board the participants will visit multiple cities (small and big) and spend time out on sea in a secluded environment of a ship. The participants will join an intense program which combines intercultural learning activities with sail training and research, prevention and reduction of plastic pollution. The program’s main objectives are for the youngsters to discover each other’s cultures, get insight in environmental issues, learn about their own boundaries, gain new skills/attitudes and learn to work together with people from other cultures and backgrounds. As partners we plan to learn new ways of cooperating with each other and with new external organisations, realize environmental projects and improve the visibility of Erasmus+, sail training and sustainability issues.
