The project Keep nature clean addresses the problem of increasing environmental pollution, which has negative effects for nature as well as people. With the project, we, young participants from six different countries, want to bring the topic of environmental protection, the importance of biodiversity, conservation of plant and animal species and a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle closer to other young people and the general public, which we will achieve through various activities during the youth exchange (designing a communication campaign, connecting with the local community) and after (dissemination activities). The goals of the project are education, raising awareness among young people and the general public about the importance of environmental protection, preserving a clean nature, biodiversity, recycling, ecotourism and encouraging the public to lead an environmentally friendly and healthy lifestyle, which we wish would lead to a cleaner environment, nature and stop the further degradation of ecosystems and the disappearance of plant and animal species. The goals of the project are, in addition to the goals related to the topic of environmental protection, also education, raising awareness, encouraging young people to be more active in their local communities, to be more active citizens, encouraging informal learning, critical thinking and improving different competences (key competences for lifelong learning) of young people, especially young people with fewer opportunities, increasing the employability of young people, and, last but not least, promoting intercultural dialogue, tolerance, accepting differences and diversity, building and strengthening European identity and values among young people and the public and raising the awareness and interest of young people for the Erasmus+ programme and other opportunities, which are available to them.
