Objectives

Through the project, we, young people linked by 6 organizations, from 6 countries, would like to bring attention to the position of members of the LGBT community in different countries. We find the topic particularly important, interesting and current in today's time, when intolerance and hostility towards different members of minorities and groups of people are increasing. Because we believe that the problems and challenges faced by members of the LGBT community deserve more attention, we decided to prepare this project. The objectives of the project are: - to find out what problems LGBT members face in different areas of life, as well as the situation of the children who have grown up, raised by same-sex parents; - to identify the situation of the LGBT community (rights, history, openness/closedness, of society, acceptability of society) and how the media report about LGBT members (examples of media reporting at key moments of LGBT activism) in participants' countries; - raising the awareness and informedness of the public on the topic, the problems and challenges of LGBT members; - promoting tolerance, accepting differences and diversity among young people and the public; - promoting non-formal learning, critical thinking and improving competences (for lifelong learning) among young people, especially young people with fewer opportunities; - promoting intercultural dialogue, building and strengthening European identity and values among young people; - raising awareness among young people about various Erasmus+ projects and other opportunities available to them, encouraging young people to continue their education, to participate in other projects, and encouraging active citizenship.
