The project is addressing the need of the partner organization to become more inclusive for LGBTIQ+ youth. The partner organization works primarily on topics on anti-racism, but wants to be inclusive for all marginalized groups. The job shadowing will enable the participant to see in practice the work of an organization that works on creating a welcoming environment for LGBTIQ+ youth and on fighting against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. The objectives of the project are: to enable to the participant to gain insight into creating, planning and implementing youth work that focuses on addressing homo-, bi- and transphobia; for the participant to work with the key persons in the organization that work with and for LGBTIQ+ youth directly and indirectly; for her to see the organization's work in practice (implementing workshops for young people that address homo-, bi- and transphobia and being inclusive to LGBTIQ+ people; working with young LGBTIQ+ volunteers; learning the specifics of creating safer spaces for LGBTIQ+ youth) and to enable a mutual learning process through which the participant will learn the principles of inclusiveness for LGBTIQ+ people, and the hosting organization will learn how to implement in practice the principles of anti-racism and inclusiveness for people experiencing racism. The project will also be the first cooperation between the two organizations, so an important objective will be for the organizations to learn about each other's way of work.
