Every day there are more young people in Slovenia and around the world that try to fight against the climate changes. With the help of our project we want to find as many answers as we can, regarding the question of the changes we have to make to follow sustainable development and at the same time satisfy our basic survival needs. During the project we will search internationally for different ways on how to improve our organisations’ activities and our lifestyle to make them more sustainable. We are eager to identify the main harmful habits, find innovative solutions and ideas, and critically assess good and bad practice in rural environment. We want to increase critical thinking of the participants, connect group members for creating a safe environment to exchange opinions and emotions, create a space for growth, and uphold connections and contacts that could be useful for the later personal and professional path. We want to encourage diversity and include young people from all European countries, incorporate at least five nationalities and succeed a bigger impact between young people using a multicultural and inter-religious dialog. We would like to implement the learned practice through artistic interpretation using our own waste. The results of the project would be applied in a form of encouragement of the participants in the local environment. Young people with fewer opportunities, meaning a weaker socio-economic status or geographical obstacles, would equally be included into the project. During this project we will get to know different concepts: zero-waste, upcycling, recycling, degrowth, sustainable development – in the proper sense of the word (meaning all three levels: self-supply and others). Young people will spread new knowledge and ideas around into their local environment. A big part of the exchange will be spent in nature. One of the goals of this project is to include our own local environment through various guests and organisations.
