Because of the ongoing civil war in their countries, millions of people have been forced to leave their country on the colour of security. The immigration wave, which seemed to be short termed and temporary situationat the beginning, has become a wound of humanity after being permanent as the days pass. The current situation inevitably and negatively affects the psychology and reactions of both migrants and those who accept to immigrate. According to the latest data, the number of migrants in the world has reached 258 million. The members of the European Union are the countries with the highest migration from the undeveloped countries. In the recent years, Europe, which has provided external workforce in order to achieve restructuring and economic growth after the Second World War, has also taken measures to solve the integration problems of migrants using legal roads and in particular to combat illegal immigrants. However while taking such measures, in what extent the human rights of migrants are respected is the focus of discussions. The extreme right-wing discourses that have increased in Europe especially in recent years, argue that the increasing unemployment and crime rates are also caused by immigrants while blaming the immigrants abouttheir inability to integrate into the society. Migrants face the problem of marginalization within the European population. In the instances of Germany and France, migrants are being sent back to their home countries with some incentives. In addition to this, the procedures which are envisaged so as to have the right to settle in Germany and France through family reunification are also getting more and more difficult. With this project, we aim to invite 36 young participants from 5 different countries which are the members of EU to our province and we aim to increase their knowledge and experience about the issue of migrants and refugees in the world. In particular, we want the participants to share mutual experiences by including first, second and third generation immigrants into the group. We believe that problems can only be solved by speaking and working together. Our aims are - To ensure that the participants are aware of the forced migration and refugee problem, - To support the participation of asylum seekers in social life, especially of those who have to leave their countries due to war and hunger, - To ensure that participants have information about the immigration policies implemented in European countries, - To lead participants to be self-confident individuals by supporting their personal and social development, - To prevent racism and xenophobia by achieving the integration of young people with temporary asylum seekers and the young from host countries; - To enable participants to gain skills in a common language, - To enable them to experience the advantages of multiculturalism by meeting different cultures, - To provide a social consciousness to solve the problem with the project, - Participants will have the experience and opinion of the traumas caused by immigration and how to deal with them.
