The agricultural sector plays a strategic role in the economic development process of a country. Developing countries are making great efforts to reach a more modern economic structure than the traditional economic structure. Developed countries, which had economies based on agriculture in the past, first focused on the agricultural sector and ensured the development of the agricultural sector, and then accelerated industrialization with the accumulation of resources obtained from this sector. Together with 22 million farmers and agricultural workers who manage almost half of the EU lands, the agri-food sector is at the center of one of the largest economic sectors in the EU. Turkey has a rich agricultural potential in terms of its geographical location, climate structure and product diversity. However, production is not recorded, producer organisations are not active enough, unstable agricultural policies and unplanned production models cause significant problems in the sector. It is known that Turkey's structural problems in the agricultural sector are caused by the lack of labour, land, water, capital, data, agriculture-environment relations and R&D. At the beginning of the measures to be taken from here; 1. Encouraging the young population to stay in agricultural production and taking measures to ensure employment of the young population in agriculture 2. Raising the education level of the current workforce working in agriculture 3. It is necessary to act quickly in transferring innovations and all kinds of information related to agriculture (technological or legal changes, etc.) to the agricultural sector. Our project, starting from these 3 specialised problems, has been realised with the partnership of the public, civil society and private sector, including national and international. Our project was carried out with the aim of introducing the agricultural sector opportunities as an employment area to the unemployed youth, developing the skills that will enable them to be employed in this field, and increasing the entrepreneurial skills of the young farmers in the agricultural sector. The aims and objectives of our project have served the purpose of empowering young people and including them in sustainable development, which is at the core of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Considering that the agenda is universally applied to all countries, including EU Member States, our project has served the priorities of Europe and Turkey.
