Name of the project; Youth Exchange “Environment” Date of project was 9-19 August 2022 Environment Istanbul. Hamer Youth Group and its partner organizations carried out this project because: 1) climate change was and is the biggest collective, environmental challenge society faces today. 2) We believed young people need to be empowered in order to make their voice heard in the climate debate amd their ideas and perspectives included. 3) Learning from each other, and understanding each other’s roles in the larger picture of the climate crisis is not only optimal, it is essential. 4) We were convinced that it was an opportunity for enhanced youth participation, cooperation and find solutions together for common good. 5) We believed young people benefited from this project and helped empower them to turn negative climate change into innovative solutions and job opportunities. 6) We inspired and empowered young people to become climate youth ambassadors, who advocated for climate solutions with decision makers 7) We were convinced that connecting youth and decision makers in dialogue is an important step toward learning how to work together on common issues toward common solutions.
