Objectives

Through this project our partnership aims to give an opportunity to active young people to promote, encourage and develop environmentally friendly thinking and develop the understanding how one's individual actions influence the environment. Youngsters will be able to recognise ecologically friendly and unfriendly activities and make the relevant choices by themselves. With this project we also aim to develop positive attitudes towards being active and responsible citizen as well as empower young people with the knowledge and skills for social actions to facilitate positive environmental change in their home communities. The educational objectives of this project are to: - Explore the concept of ecological challenges and global environmental issues faced by all, but especially young people - Analyse the realities and manifestations of the risks people create for their own planet - Raise awareness of the youth concerning environmental challenges - Gather and share best practice examples of "green thinking" lifestyle - Identify criteria for the most efficient international and inter-cultural youth work - Discuss the strategies and approaches to prevent new ecological problems - Encourage young people to take their own future in their hands through peer-led activities The actions and programmes developed by young leaders and youth workers during the exchange to publicise and promote youth empowerment and environmental awareness will help them and other young people recognise the value of such experience. During workshops based on mixed nationality principle the young people will share the knowledge of a common Europe, its shared heritage and common basic values.
