Following the worldwide climate protests led by youth worldwide, our circus youngsters felt a need to link their circus life to the overall climate challenges. With CirkOOH!CirkAAH! 4.0, we wanted to give youth a voice and send out a positive message to our surrounding by 'ocupying' the city with different circus techniques and artistic elements to allow people to rediscover the public environment and renew their connection with the nature in the city. The objective was to create a collective performance in the streets in relation to its neighbours. The project also wanted to bring circus youth together from different countries to exchange their practices and create solidarity among young people worldwide to contribute their voice to the plea for urgent climate protection. By doing this we wanted to reinforce the cultural creativity among youth in the endeavour of protecting the environment. In last instance we also wanted to take up our responsibility in decreasing our ecological footprint by organizing a climate friendly exchnage through the travel and catering.
