The project Youth Digital Skills for Better Activity and Literacy is a youth exchange between 8 countries, with Bulgaria as a host country and sending countries Macedonia, Hungary, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Serbia. Young people are the future of our society. They are the innovators and generators of ideas. However, they need to be encouraged to actively participate in these processes of generating new ideas; they need to be assisted in the process of realizing their crucial role in the future of our society; they need to be supported in the process of development and acquisition of new skills, knowledge and competences, incl. digital skills as a basis for active participation in today's digital world. This is the focus of the project - through organizing a youth mobility and using non-formal learning methods to develop and acquire digital skills that promote the use of modern technologies in a correct, healthy and safe way with a view to improving youth initiative - active civic participation, involvement and support for causes such as volunteering, etc. Achieving this goal will contribute to the achievement of specific goals such as: raising youth literacy (better awareness, cyber-attacks and all kinds of threats on the Internet, criminal use of the Internet, etc.), improving understanding of civil rights and participation in young people; promoting creativity , spreading the ideas of volunteering, tolerant and solidarity behaviors, as well as social inclusion of disadvantaged young people through digital skills, promoting intercultural dialogue and improved understanding of young people's contemporary problems and how resources can be used to promote the education of these young people in dignified European citizens who promote European values. The project proposal is in line with the Erasmus + Program, the Youth Strategy and the Europe 2020 Program, as it actively promotes the development of different skills among young people, promotes the ideas of volunteering, and enables the idea of learning through whole life. The project also focuses on the social inclusion opportunities of isolated groups as improved digital skills overcome geographical distance and promote equal access to services and opportunities without discrimination.
