The main objective of our project "Rural Youth Refuse to Lose" is to empower 35 young people to become "agents of change" by building their knowledge, skills and competencies so they can initiate youth projects to improve the living environment in their small villages and towns thus contributing to lowering the "brain drain", youth emigration and depopulation of whole regions in Europe. The aims of the project are: - developing the personal and leadership skills of the participants, who, after the exchange, will attract more young people and local institutions towards the cause of improving the living environment in their small settlements; - capacity building, knowledge, skills and competence enhancing among young people from rural and isolated areas; - promoting entrepreneurship, creative thinking and creativity among young people in small villages and towns; - creating conditions for social inclusion of young people from rural and isolated geographical areas; - contributing to the development of socially engaged, responsible and active rural youth; - promoting youth activism and volunteering to carry out socially significant projects; - introducing the participants to the European instruments supporting the personal and professional development of young people; - promoting intercultural dialogue, international cooperation and exchange of information and experience on the project topic; - promoting cross-sector partnerships and synergies between cultural and educational institutions, young people and residents of small villages and towns to achieve common causes; -promoting real communication among young people, lowering their digital obssessionq thus giving them a chance to have more time for discussing and planning projects for their communities; - lowering the "brain drain" and the emigration waves from the smaller settlements thus contributing to lowering the youth unemployment levels; Our project responds to the main objectives and priorities of the Erasmus+ program to reduce youth unemployment and promote entrepreneurship and volunteering among young people, as well as reducing the social exclusion of disadvantaged young people. Our project also meets the priorities for 2019 promoting the inclusion of marginalized young people, their initiative and social inclusion with a view to preventing their eventual radicalization as the young people in the geographically isolated and small settlements are the most vulnerable group subject to potential radicalisation. Our project is sustainable with long-term benefits, as we will build capacity among the young people who will transmit and multiply it among peers and residents of their small settlements and during their future participation in other international projects. Thus, more people will work to improve the living environment and opportunities for rural youth development. The so-called "agents of change" will be like reactors to encourage young people in the villages to react and seek solutions to their problems, rather than stay depressed, socially isolated, radicalized, young NEET (without education , employment, or training), or fall into unhealthy and bad habits.
