We observed that young people have low level of sense of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit. They do not see point in doing something. They do not believe it is possible to achieve something on their own, a lot of start-ups/business are failing around them. Youth lack self-confidence and belief it is possible to reach their dreams. Youth lack entrepreneurial competences. These competences are not taught at school. There are not many role models around, successful businessmen to learn from. And finally, young generation seek for personal satisfaction, satisfaction in their work rather than focusing on earning money what traditional entrepreneurship is based on – generating profit. Therefore we wanted to implement the project where young people would raise their sense of initiative by learning about social entrepreneurship which could help with raising youth sense of initiative and contributing to solve challenges Europe faces now, e.g. environmental issues, youth unemployment, social exclusion of mitigated groups (from people with disabilities to immigrants). Our project had several objectives which were achieved by the end of the project: -familiarized 60 participants from 6 countries with social entrepreneurship concept -introduced Dragon Dreaming methodology -created safe non-formal environment to apply Dragon Dreaming Methodology in practice -raised self-confidence of young participants -increased competences like critical thinking, communication, complex problem solving -encouraged and motivated young participants to start social entrepreneurship activities themselves
