Objectives

Recently several issues became very important in Europe and in the world in general - a rise of radicalization, xenophobia, racism, discrimination and other violations of human rights. CEFIG and other partners in this project worked with young people to deal with these issues. We thought that that was a good way to have a positive influence on society through educating young people and delivering proper messages regarding the issues mentioned above. With our training course we aimed to raise awareness about such human rights issues as domestic violence, xenophobia and discrimination through role playing activities, as well as understanding how to use LARP as a learning tool. The objectives were set for the project: 1) to spread the idea of human rights protection and tolerance 2) to enhance participants‘ skills of non-formal education and development of educational methods such as LARP games. 3) to raise awareness on domestic violence, xenophobia and discrimination through LARP; 4) to add new tools to youth workers which they can use in local communities and adapt them to different target groups and topics; 5) to develop folllow-up activities using innovative methods in order to help youth understand complex topics such as human rights protection. We aimed to equip youth workers with competences and methods for their professional development, needed for transferring the common fundamental values of our society, which is a direct objective of KA1. By completing these objectives, we came closer to our ultimate goal - making Europe a safer and nicer place for everybody. By implementing the project, we made a direct transformation in our participants, but also in the local communities they are operating.
