Objectives

We live in a time where diversity and culture became a reason for hate speech, division, discrimination even radicalization of young people. Youth work is challenged as never before. Youth workers are constantly searching creative, innovative ways to empower, include young people, especially from vulnerable groups (LGBTIQ*, migrants, refugees, Roma etc.). We are in constant need of something that will have the power to effect young people, but also the society itself, including stakeholders and decision makers. The project "In a good school you learn to dream" is created to support and equip youth workers and trainers from organisations that expressed their need, with knowledge and skills on the implementation of the Loesje methodology: Loesje creative text writing and School of freedom in their work with vulnerable youth towards inclusion, intercultural and social dialogue. Being trained and using Loesje methods in their youth work, the participants in this mobility will gain knowledge on creative tools which can be applied in many different topics and always have a powerful outcome, timeless posters with creative messages made from the young people themselves, or a pool of different skills exchanged among young people. This mobility of youth workers we want to make by a clear and structured division: Part 1: Participants will explore current issues in their societies or challenges that their youth face. They will exchange information about their youth work, by pointing out concrete study cases and needs. With this they will have a basis for further applying Loesje methods, in which way they should support young people Part 2: Participants will learn about Loesje creative text writing, what are the characteristics and how they can organize such a workshop. After they gain knowledge, we will organize Loesje creative text writing sessions and the participants will practice it on the spot. We will go through final editing and layout and will translate the posters to all present languages of the group. Part 3: We will present the method "School of freedom" where the participants will learn all aspects of organizing it. In the third part, we will organize short "School of freedom" sub-project where the youth workers and trainers will experience this method on the spot. At the end, we will make a strategy on best dissemination and visibility of the outcomes, and through our digital corner the participants will create content about dissemination and visibility, at the same time developing digital skills and using equipment. General objectives: - raising awareness about current issues among young people that lead towards hate speech, discrimination, radicalization - equipping youth workers and trainers with knowledge and skills on Loesje creative text writing and the "School of freedom" method Specific objective: - fostering inclusion, cooperation and intercultural dialogue through creativity, critical thinking and skills exchange The Erasmus+ program itself offers a variety of possibilities for young people, and we will use it as an instrument in this project to encourage the youth workers to support young people with information and possibilities. The participants responsibility will be to multiply their knowledge about Loesje methodology, by implementing workshops and including as much people as possible, not just youth but also other youth workers, trainers, facilitators. This project promotes an intercultural dimension by including interested partners from different countries and regions.
