Objectives

To achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, common global ideas must be developed on how to achieve these goals. The young generation in particular must be sensitized to global problems and issues and must learn to understand them. They must be shown different alternatives of behavior with which changes can be actively reached. Methods of global learning are intended to playfully enable a change of perspectives and thus provide understandable access to the topic so that as many young people as possible can be reached. In an ever-changing world, teachers and youth workers are constantly in need of further education and professionalization. This project helps to increase the methodological competence of youth workers, who dedicate to the spread of social justice and cosmopolitanism. Our focus lies on methods of global learning. Global learning is seen as an educational concept that understands the world population as a global community and seeks to achieve social justice and equality for all. Since methods of participatory learning are the foundation of the mentioned educational concept, it is about non-formal education. Working together on this global issue and sharing ideas, visions and methods are essential for transnational responsibility for global problems. Global change can not only be achieved through political measures but also through civil society engagement. The project contributes to the increase of intercultural competencies of the participants, which helps to prepare for work with heterogeneous groups.
