“Story behind Story” was a project aiming to examine and tackle problematic realities of the media – such as information manipulation, fake news and propaganda – both in the present and in a historical perspective, as well as enhance participants’ skills of media and information literacy, critical thinking, and awareness of social and political phenomena. Moreover, the project aimed to develop participants’ intercultural and interpersonal competences, and stimulate growth in their active involvement in their own local, regional and national environments. Finally, the project aimed to build stronger professional relationships between the partner organizations, and enrich their professional knowledge and skills. The objectives of the project were: - to contribute to dealing with challenges of current media reality by developing competences of young people in media and information literacy on levels of awareness, attitudes and practical skills; - to raise critical thinking of social and political issues on examples of instrumentalising history/memory and manipulating by information; - to develop intercultural competences and raise interest to international youth exchanges and other types of mobility projects; - to promote recognition of non-formal education as an important element of lifelong learning; - to enrich practice of the partner organisations through implementing innovative project and contribute in raising quality of youth work in Europe through dissemination of the project results.
