The project was carried out to train the participants and their organisations in the field of mental illness in children and young people. The focus was on the mental well-being of children and young people, the prevention of mental illness and the inclusion of mentally ill people. Through a theoretical content and the workshops, a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge could be imparted in this area. The participants became aware through the contents that stress, depression, anxiety disorders and other illnesses already play an important role in childhood and adolescence. They are exposed to factors that promote these developments both at school and at home. These include pressure to perform, fear of the future, and their own, family's and society's demands and expectations. The theoretical contents and the contents of the workshops were an important part of the youth meeting in order to create a common starting point for the preventive methods and the project development. The future conference served to develop own projects for the respective organisations; these projects pursued a preventive and inclusive approach. The content was focused on children, young people and the field of sport. The workshops included low-threshold and diverse offers for the participants. The aim was to sensitise the participants to the topic, to increase their own resilience to stress, to be able to perceive warning signals for stress and its psychological consequences, and to offer the participants a platform for exchange and expression.
