The main objective of the Media4You project was to enable young adults from Europe and the MENA region to participate in exchange formats, to get to know new cultures and people and at the same time to acquire skills and abilities in the field of media. Through the media focus of the project, intercultural skills were to be acquired and civil society engagement was to be promoted in the project itself and beyond. The aim of the project was exactly that - to create sustainable engagement in the participants' countries of origin and thereby create multipliers for intercultural media education. The participants were accompanied by different trainers in different countries, which enabled them to learn a wide range of skills from filmmaking to social media and storytelling. In addition to skills acquisition, social and political issues were also on the agenda of the project. The participants dealt with the question of how different media can be used for social impact and important political issues such as environmental protection, democratization and discrimination in order to create more awareness. There was an intensive exchange on the different challenges that the participants face in their countries. The exchange not only served to enable young adults to have these experiences, but also to ensure that the participants continue to engage in civil society after the youth exchanges and take the topics dealt with back to their environment. The whole thing can look different. It may be that participants later carry out such projects themselves on a local or international level, or that they become involved in civil society in other areas. This was also emphasised in the individual youth encounters. In each case, a session was held on "How can one continue to get involved safely?" in order to show what possibilities there are and thus to promote involvement in the long term.
