Objectives

For a livable Europe, an attitude that protects the environment and people has been followed, but not every European country has been able to carry out this process in a high quality way and has had to struggle with some imbalances in the field of production and recovery. The long-term goal for the EU is to create a recycling society that avoids waste and uses waste as a resource. Wastes, one of the biggest problems of our age, not only affect our lives but also the lives of our environment, nature, plants and animals. The way to stop these wastes is through recycling. Re-use of recyclable products helps to reduce the energy spent for the new production, the loss of natural resources and the costs. The mixing of wastes such as glass, metal, plastic and food into the nature brings very serious damages to the soil, which also affects air and water quality. Today, one-third of the world's most unconscious food waste is disposed of in a different way without being evaluated differently. According to FAO's research, 20% of daily products such as milk, 35% of fish and fish products, 45% of fruits and vegetables, 20% of meat products and 20% of pulses products are food waste. While this loss cannot be avoided, it causes environmental pollution and the fact that it cannot be recycled causes even greater losses. According to the data of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), it is known that the annual cost of food waste and losses in the world has reached 940 billion dollars. Although recycling is so important, this awareness and measures have not been sufficiently developed in the world and Europe. Another misunderstanding by many people is the environmental damage caused by the packaging. The packaging is indispensable in order to ensure that the packaging must be carried out by people and that the packaging is deliberately separated. The systematic way of recycling from packaging to waste has also revealed the culture of ‘’Zera Waste’’. However, considering that no recycling has been achieved in many areas, the number of sectors that have not been introduced to the concept of Zero waste is quite high. The most successful European country and world champion on the way to zero waste is Germany, which provides recycling of 65% of the waste. The new generation of young people need to raise awareness on packaging, recycling waste and especially food waste. Our goal was in the second mobility to increase the motivation and sensitivity of young people in order to prevent food wastes and to transform food wastes in case they cannot prevent them. Specific targets: - To raise awareness of young people on food waste reduction and recovery. - To raise awareness on young people and local people about waste management. -To inform young people about the ‘’Zero Waste’’ practice. -To teach participants how to recycle the wastes into art, table and nature.
