Objectives

The goal of the youth exchange project was to encourage young people to think about what they can do to make a change towards a better world and to put their minds into the topic of inclusion, discrimination, racism, nationalism, through sharing experiences and ideas with a touch of theatre. The objectives of the project were: To raise awareness among young people about the issues of social exclusion and discrimination: The project aimed to create a safe and supportive space where young people could learn about the various forms of social exclusion, including age, race, gender, class, and lifestyle. Through workshops, discussions, and activities, participants were encouraged to think critically about the root causes of these issues and how they impact individuals and communities. To provide a space for young people to share their experiences and ideas with one another: By bringing together young people from different backgrounds, the project aimed to create a platform for sharing experiences, perspectives, and ideas. Participants were encouraged to listen actively to each other and to learn from one another's unique perspectives. To develop the skills and competencies of the young participants in project management, teamwork, leadership, and communication: The project provided opportunities for the young participants to develop a wide range of skills and competencies that are valuable both personally and professionally. Through collaborative activities, team-building exercises, and project planning sessions, participants gained experience in leadership, communication, project management, and other important skills. To promote the value of tolerance and inclusion through the direct involvement of young participants in a public event: The project culminated in a public event that was developed and implemented by the young participants. Through this event, the young people were able to demonstrate the value of tolerance and inclusion to their communities. This experience also provided a sense of accomplishment and empowerment, as the young people saw the positive impact of their work on the community. To encourage the participating youth to jointly implement an event that gives them immediate satisfaction but also makes them experience the power of a joint effort: By working together to develop and implement the public event, the young participants experienced the power of teamwork and collaboration. This experience gave them a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that motivated them to continue working towards positive change in their communities. Moreover, the project helped the participants understand the importance of taking action towards positive change, even if it may seem like a small step. Overall, the project aimed to promote social inclusion and to empower young people to take action towards positive change in their communities.
