By implementing the project “No Hate Speech: Increasing Competencies of Young People to Use Media and Theater Based Tools to Combat Hate Speech” we got to know new approaches, methods and tools in this field. We empowered young people to address the topic and directly involve them in the process of fighting hate speech. Young people were equipped with tools enabling them to share their stories, to open the discussion on hate speech and its consequences and to encourage their peers to be active and step against online and offline hate speech. Objectives of the project were: a) To develop participants' competencies in the area of discrimination and hate speech, to raise their theoretical knowledge about the concepts, the roots of discrimination and hate speech, the forms and consequences of hate speech and encourage sharing lessons learned across participating countries; b) To raise competencies of the participants to effectively fight discrimination and hate speech in their countries and to contribute to creating social inclusive societies by implementing activities raising awareness of their peers, including young people with fewer opportunities facing hate speech themselves; c) To increase the abilities of the participants to effectively use media tools in the process of addressing hate speech and raising media literacy skills among young people; d) To strengthen participants' competencies to create and implement activities, including campaigns, fighting hate speech in their communities and contributing to fighting social exclusion and discrimination targeting especially the most vulnerable groups – Roma, LGBT, refugees and migrants; e) To increase participants' competencies (teamwork, leadership, communication, conflict management) through participation in various non-formal based activities in intercultural settings; f) To provide young people, participants of youth exchange 2, an opportunity to turn their ideas into actions, into short videos and by sharing these media messages to empower their peers to stand up against online and offline hate speech; g) To strengthen participants' knowledge of Erasmus+ Programme, especially Key Action 1, and to provide participants an opportunity to brainstorm and work on development new project ideas; h) To share lessons learned from international mobility activities through local follow-up activities in participating communities and to open the discussion on hate speech in participants' communities.
