The main drive to implement this project was working on mental health with young people in an intercultural environment. The project was written before Covid and postponed for two years because we strongly felt the importance of the need of physical gathering and supporting the youngsters in reconnecting with themselves and the others, in learning to express their inner words and to experience diversity. "MINDformance - meet yourself through performance" was an international youth exchange that gathered 24 young people and 8 youth leaders from 4 different countries in Denmark, and gave them the freedom to explore their own selves through the use of performing arts as tools for self development and intercultural learning. We developed this project with a main aim: -to promote and raise awareness of the importance of mental health among youngsters in order to support healthy and active citizenship, through the use of performative arts. The main objectives are: - to improve the personal development of the participants - to offer new learning opportunities about mental health and its importance - to create a safe and supportive environment for learning and accepting ourselves and the others - to raise participant's awareness and acceptance of differences and similarities among young people from different cultures - to promote performance and the use of arts as tools for social change - to increase the international dimension of our organizations and straighten our collaboration
