Objectives

Through project activities (divided into creative workshops, round tables, debates, role plays, etc.) participants raised their knowledge and increased understanding about: • Active support of non-formal learning as a tool for prevention of all types of discrimination • How knowledge and skills gained during the activities and workshops on our project can be used in practice in their daily lives and daily work • Respect of diversity between people • EU values and objectives regarding non-discrimination and tolerance • New methods and tools for preventing conflicts and ensuring integration and cohesion of society. And our participants also: • Learned how to communicate with other young people as well as people generally using nonviolent communication • Got motivation to establish an informal cooperation network stretching beyond national borders • Learned in which way civil society can participate in decision-making. They learned to work effectively in teams, developed better communication skills with the group, and understood group dynamics with diverse backgrounds (among our participants we also had participants that are Roma nationality, then participants that are Catholics, orthodox, and Muslims, as well as atheist). Participants with diverse backgrounds - such as participants who had Roma nationality or participants who were Muslims for them together with others as well, there we had very strong moments in our project because for some of them this was their first time traveling, first time participating on a project like this, first time been with so many different religions, nationalities an also sexualities. Many participants positively changed their outlook towards gay people during this project. Also, participants discovered and adopted different ways of working in teams that led to both efficiency and cooperation, so that even groups of different ages, genders, and cultures could generate and create a successful working ambiance. The main aim of this project was to promote equality and non-discrimination among young people. Learning objectives were: • Learning how to communicate with others using nonviolent communication • Exchange knowledge and examples of good practices with an international group of young people • Improve knowledge about other cultures, religions, and countries • Promotion of youth intercultural dialogue and universally shared values • Rising solidarity and tolerance through intercultural dialogue • Overcoming stereotypes and intolerance • Organizing a short performance about discrimination and intolerance for the local youths and citizens(in Værløse city center) • Building the international network of youth (Facebook group or page on other social media) • Developing and improving communication skills in English.
