Objectives

The background of this project is that many young people are unemployed and experience an unsuccessful transition from school to work - the NEET rate is high in Europe. Youthwork has excellent power to work directly with young people, and in youthwork, there are several methods that other fields can take over or use in their practice. Specialists need new knowledge and skills to offer young people better services and support. The international training course allowed participants to improve their understanding of different youth work methods from other countries; they learned more about youth work and career planning, mainly self-directed learning support. This project aimed to raise a professional sample of working with young people from different countries. The results impact youth work quality and the work with NEET youth positively. This project is highly linked to the objectives of the Erasmus+ program and KA1 action because this project was focused on youth with fewer opportunities for the youth work methods that support these youth. Furthermore, through training courses, youth workers have increased their competencies working with NEET-youth as a target group which is usually very hard to reach.
