Objectives

Infinity Greece is a creative youth organization started as a non-formal students group in Thessaloniki in 2014. Through our short experience in participating in European Youth Projects we have noticed that engagement in transnational activities, whether home or away, is sometimes the only chance for many young people to meet other young people representatives of other cultures, see the world, exchange views and ideas, boost their self-esteem, become more open to change, develop resilience in hard times (e.g. when hit by unemployment), set up their own ventures (e.g. projects, start-ups, social enterprises etc.). As newcomers in this field, as young people with loads of will to implement quality projects and because we do understand that for projects to have real impact, they need to be prepared in a skillful manner, ensuring that resources poured in bring the outcomes expected, we are applying for this Training Course in ensuring Quality in Youth Exchanges. The project idea was born by the need of our members to implement youth exchnages with quality. That need occured when applying for a youth exchange project. It was then that we consulted our partners and also youth workers form organisation in Thessaloniki that we trust and they have experience in the field of how we can ensure quality in our youth project nd even more how was can manage with all administrational aspects that might occur. Quality?Y.E.P. - Bringing Quality in Youth Exchange Projects (QYEP), aims at developing the overall capacity of youth organisations to effectively manage youth exchange projects funded with the support of Erasmus + grants and to ensure quality when implement them. We wish to achieve this aim by following the designed objectives: -Equipping participants with better understanding of the EU funds and how to apply these to the youth sector around Europe -Creating a toolbox of well-proven as well as new and innovative methods/tools/ideas/ strategies, etc. for effective projects management -Exchanging and drawing learning outcomes from the best practices in the areas of youth exchange projects management as already exercised by the partner organisations, to offer space for sharing of experience and exchange of good practices. -Ensuring on going support and advice to youth workers wishing to effectively manage their projects workload -Providing space for networking and ideas development for the sake of creating future projects between the partner promoters -Increasing the level of youth participation, through effective project management and the creation of new partnerships and/or Youth projects - To identify the need and the possibilities for networking between organisations as a mean for sustainability, development and synergies.
