JUSTIFICATION We discovered that young people in Europe are not only being victims of the system, but we are also not fully developing our potential, our knowledge and abilities, our skills and competences. We already know that content is developed in schools following the scheme of formal education, enhancing knowledge around memory capacity, mathematical and linguistic skills. But there is a large group of young people who have abandoned educational pathways and yet have extensive knowledge in other aspects, a set of valuable skills and abilities. This is where the concept of this project takes value. Therefore, the economic development derived from tertiary sectors (construction, services, tourism) is causing a negative situation for the future of countries and regions that try to weather the crisis with quick solutions, but this leads many young people to miss out on their potential, our potential, in economic sectors that may have a present but have no future. We want to launch this project because Europe hurts us. We are moved to learn that there is value and knowledge in young people across Europe that is not being managed properly. This is an educational project with an important non-formal and informal background, but it does not detract from formal learning as a tool for employability and personal development. We expressed our needs and concerns in the survey that they gave us in the selection process: without knowledge we go nowhere. Without the recognition of that knowledge, either. That is what leads us to launch this project. We proposed this project to be carried out in a week, with partners from countries as diverse as Turkey, Greece, Spain and Bulgaria. OBJECTIVES This project tries to value the knowledge, abilities, skills and qualifications that we have or that we discover about ourselves, among ourselves and in interaction with our cultural and natural environment. To do this, through a varied methodology and a great diversity of activities, the participants identify in ourselves aspects of our employability and training that we had not previously valued. These acquired knowledge and skills are an important source of personal and community maturity. This learning process was based on non-formal methods, this being another of the project's own objectives: the use of non-formal training methods that favor interaction between equals, community integration and personal and group maturity. In this project we established a direct relationship between the different non-formal and informal intelligences, the acquisition of basic skills and access to content and training and employability tools. Another objective was to reinforce mathematical, communicative, artistic and cultural competences, information and digital, social and citizen processing, knowledge and interaction with the physical world, learning to learn and autonomy and personal initiative, without undermining the many intelligences that each one shares. We also set ourselves the following objectives: - Qualitatively improve and facilitate the mobility in Europe of the participants as well as quantitatively increase it. This is especially relevant due to the fact that the project is carried out in an insular territory of the EU, far from the continent, which will give a special perspective on mobility and the island way of life to the people who move. - Increase the participation of young people from vulnerable social sectors, from marginal social environments, in some cases with abandonment of the educational system without basic qualifications. - Have opportunities to access knowledge with the guarantees of the rule of law regardless of the geographical place of origin. - Open this project to the participation of more young people, who come from the local communities contacted. And we will do this in an inclusive context, with equal treatment and adapting the rhythms to the capacities and abilities shown. - Facilitate the development of innovative practices, supporting work on the development of innovative lifelong learning content and practices focused on the acquisition of abilities, qualifications and skills by everyone.
