"Inclusive sports for the achievement of the SDGs" is a project that was developed between April 10 and April 17, 2022 (the dates were delayed because of the worldwide pandemic) and that arises from the need detected by young people themselves to have a space for youth exchange and whose objective is to raise awareness and strengthen the Sustainable Development Goals and their achievement through sport. This contributed to the need to disseminate and raise awareness in society about sustainable development, young people themselves being protagonists and using sport as an attractive educational tool for today's society, as recognized by international organizations, the 2030 Agenda and the Erasmus + Program itself. The main objectives were to empower and raise awareness among young people in sustainable development by betting on peace, tolerance and respect, as well as the empowerment of women and youth in education, health and inclusion. The young participants obtained practical training using sport and non-formal education as a powerful educational tool that allowed them to be prepared for the conception of future activities more inclusive and adapted for young people with fewer opportunities, betting on inclusion, recognizing their learning in the Certificate Youthpass and generating a positive change in the participants, environment and indirect beneficiaries. Thanks to the activity that took place in April in Cubillos del Sil, the learning and skills that participants acquired and improved were: - Learn to learn, since the activities carried out promote having the need and curiosity to learn, in addition to acquiring knowledge. - Feel part of a group and encourage the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, which improves social competences. - Expand knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals and their achievement through sport to promote development and peace by promoting tolerance and respect, and supporting the empowerment of women and youth, people and communities, as well as the objectives in health, education and social inclusion. - Acquire new social and communication skills, something important not only on a personal level, but also when facing the labor market or the first day of class at the university away from the classmates with whom you have been sharing class for years. - Feel for yourself in unfamiliar situations and bring experiences to those already lived. - When the goals are reached, the perception of self-efficacy, confidence and self-esteem increases and with this the learning objectives are raised progressively. - Being the protagonist of the process and also of the result obtained makes everything learned becoming part of the learning faster. Being a project designed by young people and for young people, in which they have participated in the whole process of design, creation, brainstorming for the name and activities... and in which they will participate in the dynamization of some of the activities that have been raised will acquire leadership, coordination and responsibility skills in group work, as well as techniques for public speaking. The project was developed in English, which was not the mother tongue of any of the participants, so they improved their language skills in that language. They also knew some basic words in the other languages of young participants thanks to the dictionary they created.
