Fundació Catalana de l'Esplai (Fundesplai) has promoted this year 2022 a new youth exchange proposal within the Erasmus Plus program and having as a trajectory the participation of previous calls from 2014 to 2018. It has been the proposal "GR-Migrant, exchange for raising awareness of immigration that has been aimed at young people who are in a situation of vulnerability and/or exclusion from the entities: Fundaçao da Juventude de Portugal (FJ), Associazione Culturale Strauss and Fundació Catalana de l'Esplai (Fundesplai) at the EU level and with a perspective of promoting the objectives that we share with Erasmus Plus This proposal is framed in the Fundesplai NuSOS Educational Proposal https://projectes.fundesplai.org/nusos/, a proposal for global citizenship from coexistence and sustainability The good results of the previous calls and the good relationship with and contact with the participating partners have motivated p To continue working together in this new call that we have carried out, being able to delve into this new theme. In this proposal, we wanted to address the issue related to migratory flows and the complexities that derive from them for people. Gr-Migrant, has transmitted the knowledge of the path or the Great Journey that many people who migrate from their countries of origin take to seek new opportunities for their lives, and that of their families. Some reflections that we have managed to work on and promote with the project and with the specific work of migration are the following: - Migratory processes have been and will be a constant of humanity. It is the result of multiple migratory processes and all identities have been built and rebuilt throughout history interacting with each other. - Currently migratory flows go in different directions and become practically the entire planet. There is no major country that is not a sending, receiving, or transit country. - Our societies have become plural and multicultural societies. And in the future they will be even more so. - The world has globalized, but basically for consumer goods and capital, not for people. Paradoxically, the interconnected and interdependent world is also, and increasingly, the border world. - The immigrant person is seen as a danger. We are witnessing a growing social and political impact of xenophobic and exclusionary discourses. Human rights and the quality of democracies are in question. (Immigration and poverty). Thus, the project "GR-Migrant, youth exchange for raising awareness of immigration" has focused on 3 main axes (general objectives): 1. The development of an awareness of global citizenship, understood as the set of attitudes, values and behaviors aimed at achieving a more equitable world and human rights for all people. 2. The promotion of an inclusive and non-discriminatory coexistence that is nourished by values and behaviors of positive receptivity towards personal and cultural diversity. 3. The construction of values of peace and equality from dialogue, recognition, care, critical reflection and activism. To reverse these situations we have worked from education in values from a strategy that promotes co-education and the development of activities, debates and workshops. Transversely, the specific objectives have been achieved: - Promote and develop the capacities of active citizenship, critical thinking among the young participants, from the perspective of rights. Promote exchange and reflection on human values and citizenship of the European Union, generating processes of subsequent multiplication of added values (with other young people). - Consolidate spaces for youth democratic participation at the local, regional and European level, promoting the comprehensive personal development of the young participants, building bridges between them, promoting tolerance, and mutual knowledge, to develop their ability to interact with other young people Europeans, in a multilingual and intercultural context. -Promote mutual understanding between young people from countries and languages other than the European Union (with family origins, in some cases from outside the EU, young people of migrant origin). Strengthen solidarity and promote tolerance of young people in order to strengthen the social cohesion of the European Union. - Strengthen the cooperative, sustained and efficient work, established since 2014, between the people of the organizations that work with young people, specifically with Fundaçao da Juventude de Portugal as a way to consolidate and generate more and better social and educational projects. projects that benefit young people in the EU, within the framework of the Erasmus Plus calls.
